Gentrack scales its global leadership across strategy, product and tech

NZX and ASX listed Gentrack is another New Zealand-born hidden diamond. Established in the 1980s during the power market deregulation, the company reckons it “earned its stripes with an unfailing can-do attitude.” The unassuming giant is adding to its global team of more than 700 people, with two recent acquisitions and the appointment of three senior staffers.

Gentrack provides billing, customer engagement and retail operations technology to more than 60 energy and water utilities across more than 17 regulated markets through strategic platform partnerships with Salesforce and Amazon Web Services. It also operates Veovo, serving more than 150 airports across 25 countries.

Gentrack’s anchor g2 is a cloud-native billing and CRM platform purpose-built for the global energy and water utilities sector. Built on AWS and integrated with Salesforce, it modernises operations, reduces cost-to-serve, and enables utilities to rapidly roll out innovative green energy and smart metering solutions.

The company has strengthened its executive team with three senior appointments, building the leadership depth behind its global growth strategy and the continued evolution of its g2 operational intelligence platform.

The appointments sit alongside two recent moves to deepen Gentrack’s capability. Together, these steps reflect a clear pattern of investment across product, engineering, strategy and market presence, say Chief Executive Gary Miles.

In May 2026 the company completed the acquisition of Factor, a New Zealand-founded business that brings on-demand commercial energy pricing technology into the g2 platform. Earlier that same month, Veovo, agreed to acquire Dubai Technology Partners.

“These investments in senior leadership capability bring the kind of experience we need to keep building a business that leads in some of the most complex regulated markets in the world,” says Miles.

Nic Kennedy was named Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director New Zealand. Pazit Lustman, who joined as Chief Product and Technology Officer in January, has been confirmed as Chief Product Officer as the function expands and Scott Chilton joins as Chief Technology Officer.

“Nic, Pazit and Scott have built and scaled technology businesses in complex, highly regulated environments. They understand how to take products from vision to reality, how to build teams that can execute at pace, and how to evolve and scale technology platforms that customers depend on every day.”

“Together with Gentrack’s existing executive team, Nic, Pazit and Scott will help lead the company’s next chapter, focused on an AI-first strategy built for the utilities responding to the energy transition, says Miles.

Based in the United Kingdom. Scott leads Gentrack’s strategy and investment in the technology required to lead the next era of utility operations. He will build on Gentrack’s 35 years expertise in some of the world’s most regulated and operationally complex markets, providing the operational intelligence which utilities need to move forward in the energy transition.

Scott brings to Gentrack more than 20 years of software engineering leadership across organisations in the United Kingdom, Europe, South-East Asia and New Zealand. He joins Gentrack from The Access Group, where he was Software Engineering Director within the ERP division.

He previously led the supply chain engineering function as Head of Engineering, running a global team of 80 across the United Kingdom, Romania, Malaysia and New Zealand.

With extensive experience building and scaling technology-led businesses in complex, regulated markets, Nic spent five years as Chief Executive Officer of Flux Federation, the New Zealand-founded energy retail technology business, having previously served as Chair of the Board.

Before Flux, she was Chief Innovation and Ventures Officer at PwC New Zealand, and earlier Chief Delivery Officer at Vend, the cloud retail management platform serving customers in more than 140 countries, where she led product, engineering, infrastructure and design teams through a scale-up from 50 to 150 people across six offices globally.

Pazit leads the product transformation behind Gentrack’s g2 platform and its broader shift to a scalable, product-led, AI-first model.

Based in Tel Aviv, she joined Gentrack in early 2026 as Chief Product and Technology Officer, taking end-to-end ownership of product and engineering during the early phase of the transformation.

She spent four years at Kaltura as Vice President of Product Management and Strategy for the Media and Telecom business, leading the strategy and execution of Kaltura’s Cloud TV SaaS platform serving Pay-TV operators and media brands globally.

Earlier in her career she spent 17 years at Amdocs in increasingly senior product roles, including Director of Product Management and Strategy for Digital Experience, where she launched a cloud-native customer engagement platform.
