GPS tracking and fleet management solutions specialist Teletrac Navman has announced a new integration with PTV Group’s transport planning and optimisation solution
Available globally, this integration with PTV Group logistics software enhances Teletrac Navman DIRECTOR’s end-to-end workflow solution for carriers.
Wth this partnership, fleet managers can dramatically reduce the time and manpower needed to plan, optimise, and execute delivery routes.
The robust routing software can be integrated with DIRECTOR in all countries it is sold.
The integration through Teletrac Navman’s open API offers carriers a single interface to optimise the list of stops drivers need to complete in a given time period, taking into account vehicle dimensions, load capacity, road restrictions, hazardous materials and other configurations that may affect the route.
Dispatchers receive real-time updates, including vehicle location, speed and mileage, and are able to drill down into overall trip duration, handling and driver time and stops completed to measure against their goals.
For drivers, the integration not only provides turn by turn directions, but also eliminates the need for paper invoices and proof of delivery.
“PTV Group logistics software will help our customers automate route planning and monitor execution of the route plan; further connecting every step in the transportation workflow,” says Ian Daniel, vice president and managing director Asia Pacific at Teletrac Navman.
PTV Group has more than 37 years of experience in optimising mobility and transport around the globe.
“The logistics industry is under pressure due to increasing costs, combined with growing customer expectations,” Joost Bekker, Business Development Director, PTV Australia, observes.
“With integrated solutions of Teletrac Navman and PTV Group, we can help them increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve customer service.”
